This is the first stop on the Chuze train for the majority of our new employees. With customer service and cleanliness at the forefront of our brand, team members hold our highest face value when it comes to instilling our friendliness and squeaky clean environment to all that walk through our doors.
We love promoting our Team Members into this next role, but also love to bring in experienced leaders from the outside as well. Our supervisors lead our team members at the front lines and ensure that everything is running smoothly and efficiently. Each gym will typically have 2-3 shift supervisors and one lead supervisor. They all work together and supervise various tasks to assist the front lines and management team.
Our managers do it all. They are our front of house leaders, but also are responsible for everything you don’t see behind the scenes. They train, hire, coach, recruit, interview, motivate, empower, CLEAN, process payroll, submit inventory, and the list goes on. All gyms have one General Manager and 1-2 Assistant Managers. Fun fact: The majority of our managers have been promoted from within starting as a Team Member with us.
We often say that we are in the customer service business first, but that Fitness is our vehicle. If that’s the case, then our vehicle is a sport’s car that purrs. This is the team that truly changes lives, one class or session at a time. We hire fitness professionals with a strong knowledge, but also a strong empathy and energy. We want our fitness team to break barriers and instill that it’s not about the look, but the feel. They do just that. Our Fitness department is further broken into Group Exercise, and Team Training. Whatever our members need, they’ve got it.
Working with adults can be hard. That’s where this role is perfect for those who love kids more than adults. All jokes aside, there’s nothing wrong with admitting that! These unsung heroes provide a safe, clean, and fun environment for the children of our loyal members. From video games, to finger painting, to basketball, the fun never stops here. For those that love working with kids, this never feels like work. That should be the goal in every position.
Many companies outsource their maintenance teams, but we hire everyone here as our own Chuze employees. Point blank, these all stars keep all of our equipment running the way it should. They fix things from machines, to pulleys, to hydro massage beds, steam rooms, and beyond. Without our maintenance technicians, there would be no equipment for our members to use.
The majority of our office team is based out of Southern California, but as we’ve grown, these specialized technicians have been sprouting up across all 4 of the states in which our gyms reside. While the office team is the most diverse when it comes to specializations, their first goal in mind is ALWAYS how they can be a strong support and foundation for our front line teams. We want to take on whatever we can so that our front lines can focus on what’s important, the customer. Some of these support teams include: Accounting, Culture, Payroll, HR, Marketing, IT, Construction, Compliance, Member Experience, Development, and more!
