Port Kembla has six major manufacturing operations on-site and there are opportunities to contribute to any one of them. We create a broad range of steel products and offer innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers. We have a strong heritage of innovation at Port Kembla in NSW, where COLORBOND® steel has remained a class leader for almost 50 years!  

We’re excited to be creating a ‘Talent Community’ for our future Team Members. Our Port Kembla facility regularly has vacancies across various departments, and this is a Talent Community for initial 12-month fixed-term opportunities as they become available. Some positions will be available from June 2024, while others will arise over the subsequent 6 months.

You’ll receive all the training and support to learn how to operate automated machinery, monitor products for quality control, drive forklifts, operate cranes, and safely pack and strap our products.

Team Members work a variety of 8- to 12-hour shift patterns, including a combination of day, afternoon, and night shifts. Depending on the department, our operations run 24 hours / 7 days a week or 24 hours / 5 days a week. Please click here to view an example of our most common roster patterns.
