Field of Interest: International Relations
The International Relations Department communicates fundamental research through a variety of channels, products and formats. They build strategic partnerships with other international organizations, CERN alumni, potential donors and a range of other stakeholders to support CERN's mission. They are also responsible for engaging the public in CERN's activities and particle physics, fostering community development within CERN and the international particle physics community, and raising awareness of CERN's societal impact.
To achieve this, they work in a variety of constantly evolving areas, ranging from diplomatic relations to the organization of high-level visits, strategic communications (including internal communications), press and media relations, digital communications (including social media), exhibitions, event programming and organization, educational resources and programs, arts and science, and tours of the Laboratory.
