We care about keeping you safe and well
Ensuring our people feel safe and well at work is our priority. We believe the way work is designed impacts how we feel, which is why we focus on creating environments that keep everyone safe and healthy, both physically and mentally. Listening to our people and looking for opportunities to do things safer and better is always top of mind.
We don’t believe in surviving the day – we want our team to thrive and to be able to raise a hand when things are tough. Whether it’s forming healthy practices through our wellbeing educational series, a kōrero with one of our peer support networks, or a confidential counselling session through our provider, Raise, help is at hand when it’s needed.
“It can be tempting to search for that eureka moment, or a ‘silver bullet’ that will dramatically improve people’s wellbeing. But lots of little things build culture and mental wellbeing – it’s communication, how we treat people, how connected they feel to what they do.” Cushla Beale, Head of Safety & Wellbeing – People & Culture.
Room to grow
Whether it’s advancing in your field, exploring opportunities within our business, or lending your skills to one of our new projects, you’ll have room to grow.
We believe learning never stops, which is why we offer a range of flexible options and support if you choose to study or take a break to explore another interest. Our hands-on learning experiences are designed to help you hone your technical skills and our development programmes will help you achieve your personal development goals. Our team of 1800-plus specialists means that if you’re looking for a mentor, there are plenty of people to tap into to share expertise.
Our focus on great AsureQuality leaders helps ensure our teams can thrive. Our Te Ara Whakapakari leadership development programme helps set our leaders up for success as well as providing opportunities to connect and learn from others across our business.
A chance to give back – our community partnerships
Being active and giving back to the communities where our people and our customers live and work is one of our key foundations. Our volunteer programme gives our team the chance to donate a day of their time to help our community partners, Conservation Volunteers New Zealand and Kura Kai, and get paid for it. With over 1800 people in our AsureQuality whānau spread across the motu, that’s 14,400 hours to help make a difference in our communities.
