What is a talent pool?

Our Talent Pools essentially capture expressions of interest. A place for people who are keen to work for us, and who want us to keep their details on file for when a new vacancy does come up.

When we have a role come up that we think suits your experience and skills, we'll reach out and see if there's a match! 

Some important things to be aware of, to help give you the best shot of being matched:

• Keep your portfolio up to date - it's best to include a link to an online portfolio rather than uploading an attachment if you can.
• Don't worry if you don't hear from us for a while. We have a wide range of projects we work on, requiring a wide range of skills and experience... we'll have your details with us should the right job come up! If you're after a job right now, our current vacancies are listed here.
• Create a profile on our recruitment system - that way you can update your CV or details like pay expectations, availability etc...

Here's more information on our available Talent Pools - you can submit your details to more than one, but if we think your skills are ideal for different areas of the Workshop, we'll make sure all the crew leaders have access to your details, too.

We're after hands-on people who can muck in and deliver to tight deadlines - and have a good appreciation of health and safety requirements.

Weta Workshop's world class Design Studio has a 20-year proven track record of providing groundbreaking conceptual design and ideas for the entertainment and creative industries.

We're always keen to hear from Concept Artists and Senior Concept Artists who are as dedicated as us to delivering creatively excellent work that brings our or our clients' visions to life.

We're often looking for Experience Hosts for our Wellington and Auckland venues throughout the year - especially around school holiday periods.

Our Wellington hosts deliver tour experiences, creative workshops, and events - sharing our creativity with the world and offering visitors up-close experiences into the craftsmanship that happens within our workshop every day. At our Wētā Cave retail store you'll help guests purchase props, merchandise and collectibles.

Our Unleashed venue in Auckland is internationally recognised for excellence in visitor attractions. As the awesomely approachable face of Unleashed, you'll be welcoming guests into the creative world of Wētā Workshop. You'll use the monsters, robots, fantasy worlds, giants, spaceships and all manner of whacky stuff to inspire and spread a love of creativity to our guests, as well as help them find the props, merchandise and collectibles they love in our retail store.

Our Game Studio is filled to the brim with creative game developers, making immersive game worlds and stories to inspire players around the world.
