Your Interview

Whether it's a face-to-face interview, a virtual interview or an engagement session, we want you to do your best!

Being nervous for your interview is completely normal but the key message would be not to let your nerves get the better of you.

Here are some useful tips to help you prepare for your interview:

  • Take some time to review the job description and supporting information, including details about the Trust, and the area you are looking to work in.

  • Dress smart – prepare to impress!

  • It’s a good idea to arrive 5 to 10 minutes early to your interview.

  • Prepare a couple of questions to ask the interview panel.

During your Interview:

  • Smile! It shows confidence.

  • Listen carefully to the questions, answer them as clearly as you can.

  • Don’t rush. It’s ok to take a moment. If there’s something you don’t understand, just ask.

After Your Interview

If you have been successful at your interview, the hiring manager will contact you to discuss a few details, you will then receive your conditional offer in writing.

We have an online onboarding portal where you will be able to complete all of your pre-employment paperwork and our Recruitment Team will be on hand to help you throughout the process.

All offers are subject to successful completion of pre-employment checks, in line with NHS Employment Check Standards and will vary depending on the role you have been offered, but can include:

  • Identity and Right to Work Checks

  • Qualifications and Registration Checks (if applicable)

  • References (minimum of 3 years employment/educational history, including any gaps)

  • Disclosure and Barring Service Check (if applicable)

  • Work Health Assessment Check

Once your pre-employment checks are complete, you will be booked onto the Trust’s corporate induction, details of which will be sent to you by our Learning and Development team via email.
