Every employee at Tradeshift has a voice: this week we’re talking with Jack Vincelette, one of our global solutions consultants for the sales team.

Jack’s based in our San Francisco office, and we talked with him about his journey at Tradeshift — how he’s grown into his role to do everything from train new sales representatives to facilitating product demonstrations to make commerce for all.

How did you join Tradeshift?

I’ve been at Tradeshift for just over two years. I started as a sales development representative, making lots of calls and writing lots of emails. I’m currently a solutions consultant, which means I speak with several levels of employees within our sales department, implementing and facilitating product demos, teaching sales and demo techniques, and working on opportunity development for our sales representatives. Tradeshift is full of opportunities for growth for anyone willing to take initiative, learn new skills, and drive success.

What’s the best part of your workday?

Working in sales, I get a lot of tough, and sometimes off-the-wall, questions from prospects and account executives. I have a lot of fun diving into those questions to get to the root of the question: what are they really asking when they ask something that seems really strange. Then I get to solve those questions with great coworkers.

What have you learned in the last 6 months?

I’ve come to learn that personal drive can take you incredibly far, but it takes a team to achieve real and lasting success. Working together with many different personalities and backgrounds on one team makes our solutions more creative and successful. While we all have different perspectives, we all share one goal of making trade available for everyone. It's amazing to be part of an organization that brings together so many people to achieve our vision.
